About the Bonnet Stitch
This stitch is very decorative and easy to do. The Bonnet Stitch is worked from right to left. I will work between two straight parallel lines to show this stitch.
How to do the Bonnet Stitch

| Fig 1: Start by bringing out the needle from point A in the lower stitch line. Then, Take the needle in through B and out through C, both slightly angled from A, as shown. | Fig 2: Now, take the needle from under the the stitch A-B, without plucking the fabric beneath, as shown. |

| Fig 3: Pull out the needle and see a twisted effect happening. Next, put the needle in through A and out through D, a point directly below C. Loop the thread under the needle and pull out the needle. | Fig 4: Begin the next stitch, by taking the needle in through E and out through F. There is a slight gap between C and E. |

| Fig 5: Observe how the needle goes out of the stitch near D before going in through the fabric at G. Keep on with this procedure. | Fig 6: A finished row looks like this. |

I stumbled upon your embroidery on Pinterest. Your tutorials and designs are sensational! Sadly, I noticed a website (http://www.duitang.com/people/mblog/12292610/detail/) that has possibly stolen your material. It has your watermark on their images, however they have written their own over it. I thought I would pass it on to you, just in case. If I am mistaken, I apologize, but I imagine you put so much work into this, I would have hated to not to say something.

Thanks for letting us know. 🙂 We appreciate that you understand the hard work behind each picture here. It is difficult to see how others just lift your content and use it without any permission or credits. The only effort they might put in is to crop out the copy right watermark! And we are aware of many who have done it.
In this case, it is okay. They have mentioned us, and left the copyright on… bearable. 🙂

I have a 70 year old baptismal dress which was made by my great grandmother,grandmother and mother. I am looking for someone to embroider 8 -10 names on the dress. Everyone in my family who did embroidery has now passed . I live in the Orlando Fl area . Can you help me out?

Sadly, I live in India, and don’t know of any one who can embroider at your location. I can only suggest that you visit some embroidery shops that can help you with it, or someone who can do it well. Best wishes.

I was told about The Napkin Project in UK, a project embroidering napkins to send to a residential home for people with types of dementia, as the residents often enjoy handling or plucking at the fabric napkins or even using them for other purposes, and this is said to be of benefit to those folk.
I wanted to be a part of this, but have only ever done child’s embroidery or counted cross-stitch as an adult so didn’t really think I could.
However, after discovering your tutorials, I have found this an absolutely fantastic resource that has enabled me to start to embroider a napkin to be included in the finished project.
