How to do the Lattice Couching

Yet another stitch very similar to the Jacobean Couching, except that we use horizontal stitches to pin down the threads instead of the crosses. Let us work on filling a circle, but make sure the stitches are laid in such way, that it allows a horizontal couching.


Fig 1: Fill the area you want to cover using straight stitches from one end across to the other, at equal distance. .	Fig 2: Work another layer of such straight stitches across the earlier layer.

Fig 3: Hold the pattern diagonally	Fig 4: Use another color to make tiny horizontal stitches over the intersection of these layers to tack it down.
