Woven Star Stitch

About the woven Star Stitch

The Woven Star is an adorable and easy stitch to do for decorating your fabric with stars! It can make fabulous ‘quick-fixers’ for giving anything a ‘Christmas-y’ touch. They can be made big or small and even tried on even-weave fabrics for a crisp and perfectly symmetric structure.

How to do the Woven Star Stitch

I will mark the star’s points with A, B, C, D, and E. The needle will pass through the fabric only on these points. The needle will also pass under each stitch made between these points.

Fig 1: Start by marking dots that will represent the points on a 5 point star.Fig 2: Begin by coming out from E. Take the needle in through B, the point lying horizontally opposite E. Come out from A.
Fig 3: Next, go in through C and come out from D, the point horizontally opposite to C.Fig 4: Now, pass the needle under the stitch E-B, and go in through A.
Fig 5: Come out from E to pass the needle under the stitch A-D.Fig 6: Come out from E to pass the needle under the stitch A-D.
Fig 7: Finally, pass the needle under the stitch E-C to finish the last arm of the star.Fig 8: Take your needle in through B to finish the star.
Fig 9: Your Woven Star is ready!

I like your woven version. Much neater and less likely to move. Hopefully this year I can catch up with the last few stitches you have shared.
Have a wonderful 2021 and be healthy and safe.

This is a comment regarding the #10.00 sale for the e-mail. I could not get the advertised $10.00 sale, I tried Dec.31,2020 to no avail. Finally in desperation on New Years day 2021, I decided to pay another advertised price of $22.86. Then I tried to download the book. No way would it work. Instead I received a e-mail from you saying the download was complete.
I was not able to print anything out at all. I have a new printer and new ink so I know that is not the issue. What a rip-off
