About the Sailor Stitch

The Sailor Stitch is a combination of the Chain Stitch and the Blanket Stitch. Using vertical and horizontal strokes of stitches, this beautiful stitch is excellent to create borders and bases for embellished outlines. It is perfect for crazy quilting projects. Try slipping in a bead or a sequin to add bling and interest to the stitch. Work between two parallel lines.
