twisted fly stitch

This stitch is similar to fly stitch, but with a twist. The visual effect gives out a sharper edge to the Y shape.

It will be good to know the fly stitch before proceeding with this tutorial.


Fig 1: We begin by bringing the thread out from A, B and C, as we would in fly stitch. The only difference is that this time, the needle lies below the thread, as shown.		Fig 2: Pull the needle out and bring the stitch A-B to a loop, like in the illustration.


Fig 3: This is the part where we twist the loop. For this, take the needle in through the loop as shown.		Fig 4: As you pull the needle, you will see that the loop gets twisted. Pull it out completely.

		Fig 5: Now, end the twisted fly stitch by taking in the needle to finish the tail.
