    Dear Sarah
Your web is wonderful. My English is not good enough, so I’ll write you in Spanish in order to be able to tell you more detailled and subtil things. I hope you can find the way to understand my reply. If not, I’ll try again in English in spite of the fact that it won’t be exactly that I thought

      Dear Laura,

Thank you for your wonderful, encouraging, and kind remarks and comments. 🙂
It is always nice that you understand the effort put behind each picture in every page. It makes the whole effort worthwhile when we hear that you have benefited from the pages and have returned to doing embroidery.
I can understand how you feel when there is so little information in Spanish regarding different stitch names. We appreciate your passion to go for a broader search on it.
I can take your suggestion and try to use it in our book. It would be great if we could provide equivalent names of each stitch in various languages (spanish and others), as it would benefit the readers.
You may send me the data you have collected, and we can check how it will be included in the book. You will get all the due credits if the data is used.

I have written this reply in English, and this is a translated version of my reply. I hope nothing is lost in translation!

      Warm regards,
      Sarah

You can count on me! I am working now on a spreadsheet in order to send you the data that I am collecting every day. Maybe this will be useful for your book, or maybe for your web… Regarding a possible book in Spanish, I was also thinking about how useful could be for many Spanish speakers to have access at your wonderful and detailed explanations, classifications, advices…
If you write me at my email address, I can send you an advance of the spreadsheet.
(this is the best English I could write my own. I hope you understand!)
          best wishes

Thank you so much for your fantastic collection!

I’ve been embroidering for almost 40 years, but I’m German, and for the names of most of the stitches I don’t know the English equivalent. Your picture dictionary approach is really helpful!

One major focus of my new blog, Quilting Oneness, is imaginative surface design. I will mostly concentrate on simple, quick-to-do stitches, but if you don’t mind, I’d love to link to this site for those who want more elaborate options.

    Kind regards,
    Maria
