This variety of stitch gives a wavy effect to the pattern and follows the same stitching pattern as the Laced running stitch.

NOTE:
Make sure that while taking the needle and thread under each running stitch, you do not pluck the fabric underneath. You can use a blunt needle to acheive this.
Make sure to leave the back stitch just a bit loose in order to allow the other thread to pass through it easily.

Thanks! I was having the hardest time trying to understand the difference between a whipped back stitch and a threaded back stitch until I found your website. Your instructions are clear and beautiful.
Hey Anne, it is good to know that my tutorial helped you. I have made my best to make them as simple as possible, coz it is easy to confuse oneself with many kinds of sititches that look closely related to each other.
Beautiful, Would make great monograms for Christmas, on napkins or tablecloths
Happy stitching Jackie.

Hello Sima,
Thanks for clarifying. Looked closely like buttonhole wheel.
