Shell

Embroidery Pattern: Shell.

You will learn 3 Stitches At a Time – Rope Stitch, Encroaching Satin Stitch, Chinese Knot.

The North-Western Pacific Coast was not exactly the place my beach-loving kids were expecting. They are used to the more warm waters to frolic in the nude. But, they enjoyed picking shells and bringing them back home. This pattern is inspired by one such shell sitting over our tabletop right now.

Thank you for this pattern, Sarah. Here is how my shell has turned out. I really liked the texture created by the encroaching satin stitch. The Peking knots were a little difficult for me.

This is beautiful, Suman! I love the texture too. Do check out the video that I will be uploading this weekend- I have used horizontal stitches on the shell. 🙂
